Winter Glitter Bomb

The holidays are a time for shimmer and glamour, but that doesn't mean your makeup has to be complicated. Today, I'm excited to share a holiday makeup tutorial that is not only incredibly simple but also packs a punch with its understated elegance and a dash of glitter. Whether you're attending a festive party or just want to add a sparkle to your everyday look, this tutorial is perfect for creating a stunning yet effortless appearance.

Step 1: Base Face

Before diving into the glittery fun, it's crucial to have a good base. In this tutorial, I've already applied my usual base face makeup. You can refer to my "Base Face Tutorial" for a step-by-step guide on achieving a flawless foundation. Remember, a good base sets the stage for the rest of your makeup.

Step 2: Eye Makeup - The Glittery Focus

For the eyes, I wanted to create a look that's simple but glittery and pretty. I began by using a bit of Mocha Java in the crease to set a cooler tone, perfect for pairing with glitter. Using a fluffy brush, I applied it lightly, ensuring it's not too dominant in the crease.

The star of the show is the glitter. I mixed Platinum Glitter ShadowSense, which has a gray base with multicolor glitter, and Heat Wave, known for its purple and blue hues, to create a stunning effect that complements the outfit. The trick is to mix them subtly on the lid, focusing on capturing the glitter rather than the pigment. This creates a beautiful shine across the eyelid without overwhelming color.

Step 3: Finishing Touches

After applying the glitter, I added a bit of Onyx Shadow Sense for a crisp eyeliner, opting not to smoke it out for a change. For the lashes, I applied mascara using my unique technique of combining a wet and dry tube for perfect separation and volume.

Step 4: Cheeks and Lips

For the cheeks, I chose a cold-kissed pink shade, layering pouty pink blush for a natural flush. Then, I crafted a soft, nude-pink lip color by mixing chilled pink and bare beauty Hydramatte shades, adding a touch of peony pink for the perfect candy soft hue.
